Capital and stakes: decide before filing
A SAS requires no minimum capital and can have a single shareholder, but it lets you issue shares and take on investors. So before signing the bylaws, agree on how much each partner will contribute and what percentage that represents: the percentages must add up to 100%, and the number of shares derives from the capital. Declare the capital the partners will really contribute, because the registration fee is formula-based on declared assets.
If a shareholder is a company, it acts through its legal representative, who signs as an individual. Plan for it from the start so it does not delay signing.
